Power Point’s Response to COVID-19 Coronavirus

Power Point take the health of its employees and our customers extremely seriously.  Given the ever changing challenges the community is currently facing we would like to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to try and help in preventing the spread of the virus. We understand that even when self-isolating people need to be able to cook, clean and store their food. We therefore are still prepared, at our discretion, to complete the repairs you need.

All our engineers wear gloves, have antibacterial wipes and hand sanitiser. We will however be making changes to the way we work, putting other safeguards in place as described below:

TENANTS & PRIVATE RESIDENTS:

We will need to ask some health related questions before we can book an appointment for an engineer to attend your property. We will need to know whether you have recently returned from abroad, if you have come into contact with anyone who you know or suspect may be infected with Coronavirus, are displaying symptoms of coronavirus, are elderly or self isolating.

We don’t wish to appear rude or unsociable but to protect both you and our staff, with immediate effect, when an engineer attends your property we will require that after being let in we will need you to leave the room and our engineers left to complete the work required alone.

If before our visit your health changes please call our office on 01452 730874 to update us.

If during the visit you or anyone else in the property appear to be showing symptoms of the virus which were not disclosed during the appointment booking our engineers may at their discretion not complete the work and arrange instead for it to be rebooked.

LANDLORDS & LETTING AGENTS

Please ensure that when asking us to attend a property you have asked the relevant health questions of the tenants and pass the relevant information to us when booking an engineer.

Wherever possible we would prefer for the tenant to not be home and us to collect the keys for the property, therefore avoiding unnecessary contact.

NEW APPLIANCES & PARTS

We currently have no disruption to the availability of spare parts, however we are dependant on our suppliers & couriers. It’s possible that delays may creep in due to sickness or changes in the way they operate.

We do currently have a delay in the availability of fridges/freezers as the public demand for them has recently rocketed. We will continue to endeavour to source the best appliances at the best prices we can although availability and delivery times may fluctuate.
